Preheat oven to 425 degrees. If you want to add sausage, cook first. If you want to add pepperoni, chop now. In a large mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, parmesan, basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. (add sausage and pepperoni at this time if desired) Roll out bread dough on wax paper. Cut into 3' strips and then into 3' squares. Spoon cheese mixture into center of dough square. Top with teaspoon of diced tomatoes. Brush edges with water and fold dough over. Press edges with fork to seal. Place on greased cookie sheet. In a small glass, combine egg and water. Brush top of dough with egg mixture. Sprinkle with garlic salt. Bake at 425 for 8 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with marinara sauce if desired.
