BBQ Baked Beans Private

Ingredients

- 1 lb bacon, cut into pieces and cooked
- 1 can black beans, drained
- 1 can dark red kidney beans, drained
- 3 (15 oz) cans pork and beans
- 1 red onion, finely chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, finely chopped
- 4 tsp minced garlic
- 3 jalapeño peppers, finely chopped (seeds removed, leave seeds if you like it hot)
- 1 bottle BBQ sauce (We use Sweet Baby Ray's)
- 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
- 2 tsp liquid smoke

Instructions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

In a large oven-safe pot, combine all ingredients.

I cut my bacon into pieces and then cook it. Saving a tablespoon of the grease, I add it to the beans for flavor.

Stir well and place in oven.

Bake 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
