Blueberry Cream Cheese Braid

Ingredients

- 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
- 1 egg, separated
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- 2 cans Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
- ¾ cup blueberries
- 2 tsp. water

Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp orange juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

  2. In a medium mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until creamy.

  3. Add egg yolk and ¼ cup powdered sugar, beat until well combined.

  4. Remove dough from can.

  5. Unroll and separate dough into eight rectangles.

  6. Place dough rectangles on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.

  7. Press seams together.

  8. Spoon cream cheese mixture onto the center of the dough.

  9. Sprinkle blueberries over cream cheese mixture.

  10. Slice 5 strips on each side of dough.

  11. Beginning at the top edge of dough, braid strips to cover filling.

  12. Tuck the last two ends under at the bottom of the loaf.

  13. In a small bowl, combine egg white and water with a fork until blended.

  14. Brush over braided loaf.

  15. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheet before serving.

  16. In a small bowl, combine 1 cup powdered sugar and orange juice, whisking until smooth.

  17. Drizzle glaze over braided loaf. Enjoy!
