Baked Linguine

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef
1 tsp minced garlic
28 oz can crushed tomatoes
8 oz can tomato sauce
6 oz can tomato paste
2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
8 oz linguine
16 oz ctn sour cream
8 oz pkg cream cheese
1 bunch green onions, chopped
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzeralla
cooking spray

Instructions

Cook beef and garlic in a Dutch oven, stirring until beef crumbles and is no longer pink. Drain beef mixture; pat dry with paper towels, place beef back in pan. Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, sugar and salt; simmer 30 minutes. Set meat sauce aside. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain. Place pasta in a 13 X 9 baking dish coated with cooking spray. Stir together sour cream, cream cheese, and green onions. Spread over linguine. Top with meat sauce. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 – 25 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and bake 5 minutes more or until cheese is melted. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. **To make this low-fat, you can use nonfat sour cream and fat-free cream cheese. To cut sodium, omit salt and use reduced sodium canned tomato products.
