Pizza Pinwheels

Ingredients

- 1 can crescent roll dough (preferably the full sheet can)
- 2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 24 slices of pepperoni, chopped
- 14 oz can or jar of pizza sauce
- Italian Seasoning

Instructions

Created on October 29th, 2012

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Place dough on parchment paper and cut roll in half.

Roll out one half of dough into a rectangle shape.

Spread desired amount of pizza sauce over the dough, followed by half of the mozzarella cheese, then half of the pepperoni.

Starting at the long end of the dough, start rolling tightly until dough is rolled into an 8-inch log.

Repeat with the second rectangle. Place in the freezer until firm, about 15 minutes.

Remove from freezer and cut each log into 6 to 8 pieces and place on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.

Sprinkle evenly with Italian seasoning (you can freeze them at this point if you want to bake them later).

Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 12 minutes. Serve with the remaining pizza sauce for dipping.
