Snickerdoodles

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

- 1 cup softened butter
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt

**Topping:**
- 2 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

In a large mixing bowl, cream butter. Add sugar and beat until fluffy. Add eggs, mix thoroughly. Mix flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt in a small mixing bowl. Add to the butter mixture a little at a time.

Mix cinnamon and sugar together in a small bowl. Spoon out a tsp of the dough and roll into a ball. Roll in the sugar-cinnamon mixture.

Place on an ungreased cookie sheet 2'' apart. (These cookies will spread) Bake 8 – 10 minutes. Let cool 1 minute, then move to a cooling rack. Enjoy!
