Stuffed Maple French Toast

Ingredients

12 sliced Bread (Sandwich slices)
6 eggs
1 ½ cups Milk
½ cup Maple Syrup

Cream Cheese Filling:
8oz Cream Cheese, softened
1 cup Brown Sugar
1 Egg
1 tsp. Vanilla
Pinch of Salt
½ cup chopped Walnuts, optional

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, brown sugar, egg, vanilla, and salt. Mix well. Stir in nuts. Spread cream cheese filling on top of 6 slices of bread, then top with another piece of bread. (making a sandwich) Cut sandwiches into 1” cubes. Spray a 9x13 baking dish with Pam. Place bread cubes in baking dish. In a medium mixing bowl, combine milk, 6 eggs and maple syrup. Pour over bread cubes. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Cover and refrigerate overnight. The next morning, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake, uncovered, for 30 – 45 minutes. Serve warm and Enjoy! “
