White Mac and Cheese

Cook Time: 40 minutes

Ingredients

- 16 oz macaroni pasta (any shape you like)
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 cup flour
- 3 1/2 cups milk, warmed
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 lb White Queso Velveeta cheese, cubed
- 1/2 lb cheddar, cubed
- 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1 tbsp parsley
- 2 tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

  2. Spray a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray.

  3. Cook pasta for about 2-3 minutes less than the package instructions, drain, and set aside.

  4. In a saucepan, melt 1/2 cup butter with salt and pepper. Once melted, add flour and stir until smooth.

  5. Let cook for 1 minute. Add milk and chicken broth, bring to a boil while whisking. Add cheeses and stir until melted.

  6. Pour over cooked pasta and add to greased dish.

  7. Combine panko, parsley, and melted butter in a small bowl.

  8. Sprinkle macaroni with panko topping, and bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
