Slice French Bread into 1" slices.
Generously butter a 9x13 baking dish.
Arrange the slices in 2 rows, overlapping the slices.
In a large bowl, combine eggs, half-and-half, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.
Beat with a whisk until blended but not too bubbly.
Pour mixture over bread slices, making sure all are covered evenly with the mixture.
Spoon some of the mixture between the slices.
Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.
The next morning, preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a medium bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, pecans, corn syrup, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Blend well.
Spread topping evenly over the bread and bake for 40 minutes, until puffed and lightly golden.
Serve with maple syrup and Enjoy!
