Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large mixing bowl, mix together melted butter, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, and eggs. Add salt and baking soda.
Add 3 cups of flour. Mix well.
Add chocolate chips and nuts if desired.
Using a cookie scoop, scoop dough onto cookie sheet covered with parchment paper.
Bake at 350 for 11 minutes.*All ovens bake differently so you may need to adjust baking time according to your oven.
Remove from oven and let cool on cookie sheet for at least 2 minutes.
Place cooled cookies on a cooling rack.
Enjoy!

*** My Family loves to make pizookies with this cookie dough. The recipe will make 9 - 6 1/2" iron skillets. (I bought mine on amazon)
I put 2 large scoops of cookie dough in each skillet and then press it down to fill the skillet. You do not need to preheat or grease the iron skillet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Remove from oven. Serve with ice cream in the center. Enjoy! The skillets are very hot.
