In a large container, dissolve Jell-O in 9 cups of hot tap water. Set aside.
In a large saucepan, bring 4 cups of water and 4 cups of sugar to a rolling boil.
Add to Jell-O and cool slightly.
Add lemon juice and pineapple juice to Jell-O mixture. Cool completely.
Place in 1-gallon hefty ziplock freezer bags and place in freezer.
When ready to use, thaw in microwave for 5 minutes. Place in punch bowl and add ginger ale. To get the crunchy taste, add ginger ale slowly and crunch up punch with a knife or spatula.
