Caramel Apples

Ingredients

½ cup Butter
2 cups Brown Sugar
1 cup Light Corn Syrup
Pinch of Salt
1 can Eagle Brand Milk
1 tsp. Vanilla
10 apples, washed and dried
1 cup finely chopped peanuts

Instructions

Created on October 30th, 2006

Melt butter in medium saucepan; add brown sugar, corn syrup and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until mixture comes to a full boil. (about 10-12 minutes)
Stir in eagle brand milk.
Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until candy thermometer reaches 245 degrees.
Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.
Dip apples into caramel mixture.
Dip into peanuts and place onto buttered wax paper.
