Tear bread into chunks.
Place evenly in a well-greased 9x13 casserole dish.
Melt butter and pour it over the bread.
Beat together all ingredients.
Pour over the bread.
Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Bake covered in an oven preheated to 325°F for one hour or until egg mixture is set.
Uncover for the last 10 minutes of baking time.
You can add a layer of cooked meat or vegetables over the bread, if you want.
