Blueberry Creamcheese Braid

Ingredients

8oz Cream Cheese, softened
1 egg, separated
¼ cup powdered sugar
2 cans Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
¾ cup blueberries
2 tsp. Water
Glaze:
1 cup Powdered Sugar
2 TB orange juice

Instructions

Created on November 3rd, 2008

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.


In a medium mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until creamy.


Add egg yolk and ¼ powdered sugar, beat until well combined.


Remove dough from can.


Unroll and separate dough into eight rectangles.


Place dough rectangles on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.


Press seam together.


Spoon cream cheese mixture onto center of dough.


Sprinkle blueberries over cream cheese mixture.


Slice 5 strips on each side of dough.


Beginning at top edge of dough, braid strips to cover filling.


Tuck last two ends under at bottom of loaf.


In a small bowl, combine egg white and water with a fork until blended.


Brush over braided loaf.


Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheet before serving.


In a small bowl, combine 1 cup powdered sugar and orange juice, whisking until smooth.


Drizzle glaze over braided loaf. Enjoy!
