Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Sift powdered sugar into shallow bowl, stir in the walnuts and set aside.

In a large mixing bowl using an electric mixer, combine shortening, butter, cream cheese and sugar together until creamy and thoroughly blended (about 2-5 minutes)

Mix in the almond extract, vanilla, and flour.

Stir to combine.

Scoop dough by rounded tablespoons and roll into balls about 1 inch in diameter.

Place the balls on ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake in preheated oven until the cookies turn slightly golden at the edges about 8-15 minutes.

Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 1 minutes, then roll in the powdered sugar-walnut mixture while still a little warm.
