Bring a large pot of water to boil.
Peel and quarter potatoes.
Boil until soft, (pierce with a fork to tell) about 25 minutes.
Drain and place in large bowl.
Add butter, cream cheese, garlic, salt and pepper. Mash with potato masher. Add milk * slowly while mashing. They can get too runny easily.
*you can use half and half or whipping cream instead of
milk for a creamier texture.
