Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Cook Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients

- 4 baking potatoes
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup milk, heavy cream or sour cream
- 1/4 cup butter
- 4 oz cream cheese
- salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of water to boil.

  2. Peel and quarter potatoes.

  3. Boil until soft, (pierce with a fork to check) about 25 minutes.

  4. Drain and return to pot

  5. Mash potatoes in the pot.

  6. Add butter, cream cheese, garlic, salt, pepper and continue to mash with potato masher. Add milk* slowly while mashing. They can get too runny easily.

*You can use half and half or whipping cream instead of milk for a creamier texture.

Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate for up to 2 days.
To reheat: let set out for 1-2 hours. reheat, covered, in oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
