Harvest Loaf Cake


***Double this recipe to make a bundt cake

1 ¾ cup flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. nutmeg
¼ tsp. ginger
¼ tsp. ground cloves
½ cup Butter
1 cup Sugar
2 eggs
¾ cup Canned Pumpkin
¾ cup choc chips
¾ cup Walnuts chopped, divided

½ cup powdered sugar
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp cinnamon
Blend in hot tap water till right consistency – small amounts at a time.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Grease and flour 9x15 baking dish or  3 mini loaf pans

Combine dry ingredients.

Cream butter, add sugar.

Blend in eggs, beat well.

At low speed, add dry ingredients alternating with pumpkin

Stir in Choc chips and ½ cup walnuts.

Pour into pan – Sprinkle with remaining ¼ cup walnuts.

Bake at 350 for 65 – 75 minutes. (f baking in mini loaf pans, check after 30 minutes)


Drizzle with glaze.
