Pioneer Woman's Cobbler

Ingredients

1 stick of Butter plus a tablespoon to butter dish
1 1/4 cup Sugar
1 cup Self-Rising flour
1 Cup Milk
2 Cups Blackberries (or any other kind of fruit) Fresh or Frozen

Instructions

Created on January 27th, 2012

Preheat oven to350 degrees.

Melt stick of butter in a small bowl.

In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup Sugar and 1 Cup Self-rising flour.

Whisk in milk.

Mix well.

Add melted butter and whisk it all together.

Butter a baking dish - 9" square or round

Pour batter into the buttered baking dish.

Rinse and dry the blackberries, if they are fresh. If using frozen fruit, keep frozen - do not thaw.

Sprinkle blackberries over the top of the batter

Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup Sugar on top of the berries.

Place in oven and bake for 1 hour or until golden and bubbly, edges will look crispy.

If you desire, sprinkle an additional teaspoon of sugar over the cobbler 10minutes before it's done.

Serve with whipped cream, ice cream or all by itself and ENJOY!
