Toffee Bars

Ingredients

2 cups Flour
1 3/4 cup packed Light Brown Sugar
2 sticks Butter
1 stick Butter, softened
1 cup Pecans, chopped
1 6oz pkg choc chips

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix the flour and 1 cup of the brown sugar, cut in 1 stick of softened butter until the mixture resembles fine crumbs.
Press into the bottom of a 9x13 lightly greased baking dish. Sprinkle with pecans.
In a medium saucepan, bring to a boil the 2 sticks of butter and 3/4 cup brown sugar. Boil exactly 1 minute, stirring constantly. Pour over the pressed mixture and bake exactly 20 minutes. Let sit 1 minute, then sprinkle with chocolate chips. When chips begin to melt, spread with a spatula. Chill thoroughly; return to room temperature before cutting.
